In Kyrgyzstan, budget revenues from the "Google tax" have sharply increased

According to data provided by the Ministry of Finance, in the first ten months of this year, Kyrgyzstan received 1 billion 273 million 164 thousand soms (equivalent to $14.5 million) from the "Google tax."

This is 594.3 million soms more than in the same period last year.

Since January 1, 2022, according to the Tax Code, all foreign companies providing electronic services are required to pay a value-added tax (VAT) of 12% on their revenue to the budget of Kyrgyzstan. Last year, revenue from the "Google tax" amounted to 709 million 343.4 thousand soms. The State Tax Service reported that companies such as "Yandex Go," Megogo, and Xsolla have already successfully completed remote tax registration through the tax service's electronic service.
