In Kyrgyzstan, revenues from mining tax payments have doubled

According to the report from the Ministry of Finance, revenues from the mining tax in Kyrgyzstan doubled from January to October 2025.

This year, 87.4 million soms were transferred to the state budget from the mining tax. In comparison, during the same period in 2024, the amount was only 42.6 million soms. Thus, in the first ten months of the current year, tax revenues have already exceeded the total amount collected for the entire year of 2024, when only 53 million soms were collected.

The mining tax rate is set at 10% of the cost of consumed electricity and includes VAT and sales tax.

Ten mining companies are registered in Kyrgyzstan, for which a special tax regime is provided.
