As of January 1, 2026, the president's decree on the one-time payment 'Bala Bereke' has come into effect. Adel Zhoomartova, a leading specialist in the state benefits department of the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration, detailed the conditions necessary to receive this payment in an interview with the Kabar agency.
Who is eligible for the 'Bala Bereke' payment?
This one-time payment is intended for mothers of multiple children living in high-altitude and hard-to-reach areas. It is provided upon the birth of the fourth and subsequent children.

- for the birth of the 4th child — 100,000 soms;
- for the 5th child — 600,000 soms;
- for the 7th child — 1 million soms;
- for the 8th child — 1 million 200 thousand soms;
- for the 9th child — 1 million 500 thousand soms;
- for the 10th and subsequent children — 2 million soms.
What is needed to receive the payment?
The main requirement for receiving the 'Bala Bereke' payment is permanent residence in high-altitude and hard-to-reach areas. The applicant must have lived in such a region for at least two years prior to submitting the application.
"The payment is provided after the child turns one year old. For example, if a woman gives birth to her fourth child this year, she can apply for the payment after the child reaches one year old, starting from January 1, 2027," Zhoomartova explained. She also clarified that the application must be submitted within six months after the child turns one year old. After this period, the payment will not be made. Therefore, it is important to submit the application before the child reaches one and a half years old. The funds will be transferred to the applicant's bank account," the specialist added.

What documents are needed to apply?
- mother's passport or identification card;
- birth certificates of all children;
- documents confirming permanent residence in the specified area;
- bank account number.
According to preliminary calculations, as reported by Adel Zhoomartova, approximately 11,000 children will be able to receive the one-time 'Bala Bereke' payment starting January 1, 2027.

How is the payment calculated for twins?
If a family already has three children and then twins are born, they are considered the fourth and fifth children. In this case, the total payment will be:
- for the fourth child — 100,000 soms,
- for the fifth — 600,000 soms.
