


The Bishkek city hall held a meeting dedicated to the results of the socio-economic development of the capital in 2025 and the tasks for 2026. The event was led by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the President's Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, Adylbek Kasymaliev.
According to the city hall, the mayor of the city, Aibek Junushaliev, outlined the key priorities for the city hall's work in the coming year.
“The development of our city continues, and we face new challenges that need to be overcome. The year 2026 should become a year of significant transformations and improvements for the capital. We strive to make Bishkek a modern, beautiful, safe, and comfortable city for living, one that its residents will be proud of,” noted the mayor.
The main areas of work for the city hall this year include:
- reducing traffic congestion, developing road infrastructure, and implementing modern urban solutions;
- improving the quality of housing and communal services;
- constructing new social facilities;
- addressing issues of chaotic construction, unauthorized trade, and social protection.
“Our main task is to develop the city and create comfortable conditions for every resident. I firmly believe that together we can implement ambitious plans and make Bishkek a modern and convenient city for living,” emphasized Mayor Aibek Junushaliev.
