The State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic (GNS KR) reminds taxpayers who own taxable real estate of the need to verify their data. Citizens should compare the information contained in the title documents with the records of state registration authorities.
The agency indicated that both individuals and legal entities possessing taxable properties must conduct a preliminary verification of the following information against the data from the information system of the State Agency for Land Resources, Cadastre, Geodesy, and Cartography, which operates under the Cabinet of Ministers:
– Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN);
– Name or full name of the owner;
– Area of properties and land plots;
– Purpose of the real estate;
– Shares;
– Dates of acquisition or sale;
– Other important information.
Clarifying this data is necessary for the correct automated calculation of the tax on residential and non-residential properties for 2026.
The GNS urges citizens not to delay in checking the information to avoid errors in tax assessment.
It is worth noting that according to tax legislation, the responsibility for calculating and assessing property tax lies with the tax authorities, while taxpayers are only required to pay the established amount on time.
The tax service is also working on implementing technological solutions for the automatic assessment of taxes on residential and non-residential properties.
These measures are aimed at creating more convenient conditions for taxpayers and simplifying the process of calculating local taxes.
