Tynarov noted that the landfill was constantly growing in size, and residential areas began just 500 meters from this location. During the summer, fires frequently occurred here, and extinguishing them took several weeks. Local residents repeatedly appealed to the authorities to address this issue.
The village administration of Kozhomkul reported that now all household waste from the region will be transported to the central sanitary landfill in Bishkek. “Previously, we could not transport garbage to the capital due to the lack of specialized equipment. It should also be noted that a new extension of Profsoyuznaya Street will run near the site where the landfill was located,” the village administration clarified.
