On Monday, February 23, despite its holiday status, Kyrgyz citizens will be working.
Defender of the Fatherland Day, according to the Labor Code of 2025, is included in the list of holidays; however, it does not imply a day off.
This year, International Women's Day falls on a Sunday, but March 9 will also remain a working day. Currently, the legislation does not provide for the transfer of non-working days if the holiday coincides with the weekend.
As for the celebration of Nowruz, this year it will also fall on a Saturday, and the transfer of weekends in connection with it has been canceled.
Nevertheless, one additional day off is expected in March related to the holiday of Orozo Ait. It is tentatively scheduled for March 19 or 20, and the final date will be determined based on the lunar calendar.
