The city authorities urge both residents and guests of the capital to demonstrate responsibility regarding road safety, which contributes to the formation of a culture of mutual respect and adherence to law and order.
With the arrival of warm weather, the active use of electric scooters, bicycles, and other short-term rental services begins in Bishkek. In this regard, a meeting was held at the city administration under the leadership of Ilyas Kolopov, where issues with representatives of electric scooter rentals were discussed.
During the meeting, attention was drawn to the need to align the activities of operators with current legislative norms and traffic rules. Measures to regulate the use of electric scooters in the city were also considered.
Representatives of car-sharing companies were given recommendations to strengthen control over users. In particular, measures to introduce sanctions for those who violate traffic rules while renting scooters were discussed. An important point was the proposal to implement accountability mechanisms, including the possibility of temporary or complete restriction of access to rentals through a mobile application for violators.
