March 1. Ballet "The Fountain of Bakhchisarai"
The ballet tells the story of Khan Girey, who succumbs to sorrow before the marble fountain erected in memory of "sorrowful Maria." This work by Russian composer Boris Asafyev is based on a poem by Alexander Pushkin.
