As part of the initiative "Master of the Russian Language - 2024," organized by Rossotrudnichestvo, Russian graduate students are conducting classes for students and schoolchildren in Osh. They share pedagogical approaches with local teachers and explore the cultural features of Kyrgyzstan. Program participants, Alexandra Filippova and Alina Gorodetskaya, shared with VB.KG their impressions of their stay in the republic, the inspiration they draw from local educators, and what they will take home with them.

-What are your impressions of Kyrgyzstan and its people?
Alexandra: - We are leaving with bright and warm emotions. We were amazed at how high the interest in learning the Russian language is not only among schoolchildren but also among teachers. People here are incredibly kind and responsive, always ready to help, share their experiences, and culture. This creates an atmosphere of true hospitality.

Alina: - We noticed that the locals are very open and eager to communicate. Colleagues, students, and even hotel staff shared interesting stories and facts about their country and traditions, which added warmth to our stay.

- How was your work in educational institutions?
Alexandra: - This project became an opportunity for us to gain experience in various areas: we taught in a school, conducted workshops for educators, and participated in the educational process at the university. The most valuable thing for us is to see how our colleagues are interested in new experiences and are ready to apply the knowledge gained in practice.
Alina: - The students surprised us with their motivation. They are keenly studying the Russian language and demonstrate responsibility, creativity, and a positive attitude. We exchanged knowledge about the cultures of Kyrgyzstan and Russia, which made our experience mutual.

- What were your expectations regarding the language environment?

Alina: - I thought there might be difficulties since I had heard about the low level of Russian language proficiency in some regions. However, at the university, we were met very warmly: they were always ready to help and share methodologies.

Alexandra: - There were practically no language difficulties. Communication turned out to be easy and productive.
- Were you able to get acquainted with the nature and culture of the region?

Alexandra: - Yes, we visited several sightseeing spots. In Kara-Koy, we heard many beautiful legends, and the views there are simply stunning: mountains, trees, fresh air — all of it is mesmerizing.

Alina: - We also visited the Laglan canyons and the Papan reservoir. We learned a lot of interesting things about these places and their significance. The nature of Kyrgyzstan is remarkably beautiful, and this is something we want to share with everyone after our trip.
- What was the most pleasant moment for you on this trip?

Alexandra: - The opportunity to share our experience and see the response — this is what inspires us to be educators.

Alina: - It is also nice to realize that the results of our work will remain in the lessons, methodologies, and inspire students to continue studying the Russian language.
-What impressions will you take with you?

Both: We are leaving with the warmest and most positive emotions. We met wonderful people, immersed ourselves in the culture of Kyrgyzstan, and were able to realize ourselves as educators who genuinely want to share knowledge. This experience turned out to be important for both our professional activities and personal growth.
The winners of the "Master of the Russian Language - 2024" competition expressed gratitude to the Russian House in Osh for their support and attention throughout the practice. The girls noted that their stay in Osh was easy and comfortable thanks to the help of the Russian House, which established connections with school directors in advance, accompanied the volunteers in the first days, and provided the necessary organizational and informational support. This allowed them to quickly adapt to the new city and focus on classes with students and interaction with local educators.
