Within the framework of the project, key areas have been identified, which include:
- active implementation of the Kyrgyz language in public administration;
- development of the language in the fields of education and science;
- strengthening the position of the state language in the cultural and media environment.
According to the justification note, the priority areas are aimed at addressing the following tasks: full and widespread use of the state language in all spheres of life in the country; improving the functional capabilities and expanding the informational and educational resources of the Kyrgyz language; standardization of educational and methodological materials for teaching Kyrgyz as a professional language; creation and development of educational infrastructure for studying the state language; as well as raising the level of language culture among the population.
The program will be implemented in cooperation with government agencies, local authorities, public organizations, and representatives of the private sector.
Officials are confident that the implementation of this program will allow:
- achieve 90% usage of the state language in official documentation;
- ensure accessibility and high quality of education in the Kyrgyz language;
- increase the volume of content in Kyrgyz in media and the internet;
- strengthen the significance of the state language as an important element of civic identity.
