On November 12, the leader of the "Social Democrats" party filed a lawsuit, stating that the Central Election Commission (CEC) did not carry out the necessary checks or confirm the candidates' proficiency in the state language. Sultanbekov also demanded that the CEC annul the registration of those who did not meet the requirements of the constitutional law on elections.
As reported by the press service of the Supreme Court, the court left the lawsuit unprocessed because Sultanbekov did not provide the dates and details of the contested CEC decisions. Later, on November 14, the repeated lawsuit was returned for the same reasons.
The court also rejected Sultanbekov's demands to establish a new procedure for verifying candidates' knowledge of the state language, noting that such issues are not subject to judicial review.
On November 19, the Supreme Court partially overturned the decision of the first instance court regarding the "inaction of the CEC" in checking language proficiency. However, the applicant was again denied, as this requirement was also not subject to consideration. Otherwise, the decision of the Administrative Court remained unchanged.
