In Kyrgyzstan, a center for the development of fishing and aquaculture is being established

As part of the project to create the "National Center for Aquaculture and Fisheries Development" in Kyrgyzstan, a meeting was held between representatives of the Department of Fisheries and the leadership of the Korean Maritime Institute (KMI). This information was provided by the Ministry of Water Management and Agriculture.

According to the department, the new center will focus on the reproduction of valuable and commercial fish species, as well as on improving the qualifications of personnel. It will serve as an educational and scientific base for students, researchers, and fish farmers.

The parties noted the importance of this center for the development of the country's fishing industry. The project is in the final stages of implementation, and the director of the department expressed gratitude to the Korean side for their contribution to this significant project for the industry.

During the negotiations, the timelines for the official opening of the national center were also agreed upon, which is scheduled for the second quarter of 2026.
