Recently, a meeting took place in Moscow between Adilet Sotovaldiyev, the director of the Veterinary Service for the Development of Animal Husbandry, Pastures, and Feed under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Sergey Dankvert, the head of Rosselkhoznadzor. This information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan.
During the negotiations, Sotovaldiyev highly praised the professionalism of the employees of Rosselkhoznadzor, especially the Federal State Budgetary Institution "VNIIZZh," noting the effectiveness of the foot-and-mouth disease vaccine developed by this institute. The Kyrgyz side expressed interest in obtaining veterinary drugs.
Dankvert, in turn, confirmed Russia's readiness to assist with the export of vaccines to combat animal diseases in Kyrgyzstan, as well as to provide the necessary support for their proper use and subsequent monitoring.
An important aspect of the meeting was the discussion of expanding mutual trade in agricultural products. The head of Rosselkhoznadzor expressed readiness to consider the possibility of increasing imports of goods from Kyrgyzstan that meet the quality and safety standards of the Eurasian Economic Union.
Additionally, attention was given to improving the regulation of livestock product supplies from Kyrgyzstan to Russia, including fish products.
As a result of the meeting, both sides confirmed their intention to strengthen cooperation in the field of veterinary medicine and expand mutual trade, especially in the areas of fish and dairy production.
