Russia will ensure the export of vaccines against animal diseases to Kyrgyzstan

At a meeting held in Moscow, Adilet Sotovaldiyev, the director of the veterinary service and livestock development and pasture management of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan, discussed issues of joint cooperation with Sergey Dankvert, the head of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of Russia.

During the negotiations, the Kyrgyz side highly appreciated the professionalism of Russian specialists, particularly the staff of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "VNIIZZh". Adilet Sotovaldiyev emphasized the success of the Russian vaccine against foot-and-mouth disease developed by this institute and expressed interest in obtaining supplies of necessary veterinary drugs.

Sergey Dankvert, in turn, confirmed Russia's readiness to export animal vaccines to Kyrgyzstan and offered assistance in their proper use and further monitoring.

They also discussed ways to expand mutual trade in agricultural products. The head of Rosselkhoznadzor expressed a desire to consider the possibility of increasing imports of goods from Kyrgyzstan, provided they meet the quality and safety standards of the Eurasian Economic Union.

The parties also discussed improving mechanisms for regulating the supply of livestock products, including fish, from Kyrgyzstan to Russia.

As a result of the meeting, the intention to actively develop bilateral cooperation in the field of veterinary medicine and to expand mutual trade, especially in the areas of fish and dairy production, was confirmed.
