The Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan announced its intention to deepen cooperation with Russia in the field of veterinary medicine and the agro-industrial complex.

A recent meeting in Moscow between Adilet Sotvaldiyev, the director of the Veterinary Service for Animal Husbandry, Pastures, and Feed, and Sergey Dankvert, the head of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of Russia, laid the groundwork for discussing the prospects for joint work.

During the negotiations, the Kyrgyz representative highly praised the professionalism of the staff of Rosselkhoznadzor, including the Federal State Budgetary Institution "VNIIZZh," and noted the effectiveness of the vaccine against foot-and-mouth disease developed by this institute. The Kyrgyz side expressed interest in the supply of veterinary drugs.

Sergey Dankvert, in turn, confirmed Russia's readiness to export animal vaccines to Kyrgyzstan and to provide the necessary support for their proper use and monitoring.

Additionally, the meeting discussed issues related to increasing mutual trade in agricultural products. The head of Rosselkhoznadzor expressed readiness to consider the possibility of increasing imports of products from Kyrgyzstan that meet the quality and safety standards of the Eurasian Economic Union.

The parties also discussed ways to improve the regulation of livestock product supplies, including fish, from Kyrgyzstan to Russia.
