In the Kyrgyz Republic, a system of electronic fishing licenses has been developed and successfully implemented.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the Department of Fisheries, in collaboration with the laboratory of ichthyology and hydrobiology of the Institute of Biology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, has established limits on fish catch in the country's water bodies for the year 2025.

To improve the organization of fishing activities, agreements have been made with public associations of hunters and fishermen, as well as with commercial organizations.

The "electronic fishing license" system was developed by the state enterprise "AgroSmart" with the participation of the department and is available through the official website of the ministry in the "Services" section, as well as through the payment operator "Megapay".

According to representatives, this innovation has significantly simplified the ticket purchasing process, making the service more accessible to the citizens of the republic and reducing the use of paper documents.

According to statistics for the first nine months of the current year, revenue from the sale of fishing licenses and cards amounted to 11,859,502 soms, which significantly exceeds the corresponding figure from last year — 2,655,942 soms.

The department noted that the growing interest in sport and amateur fishing is due not only to the simplification of procedures but also to an increase in the culture of responsible attitude towards aquatic biological resources.
