In just one week, thanks to the new method of paying customs duties through QR codes, 40 million soms were received in the state treasury. This was stated by Almaz Saliev, the chairman of the State Customs Service of Kyrgyzstan, on the air of Birinchi radio.
He noted that a digital system was developed in collaboration with "Eldik Bank" to simplify the process of paying customs duties.
“We have implemented a new service that allows entrepreneurs engaged in foreign economic activities to pay customs duties using QR codes. This project has received positive feedback from the business community. Now entrepreneurs can, at any time and from anywhere, enter a unique code on the Customs Service website to obtain a QR code for payment. This significantly simplifies the process for businesses. Information about the receipt of funds is automatically updated in the Customs Service system in real-time,” Saliev added.
Moreover, he emphasized that the implementation of QR codes and a new form of feedback with citizens is aimed at increasing the transparency of government agencies' work and improving convenience for users.
