Chynaliev noted that more than 11,000 processing organizations are successfully operating in the country, the majority of which are concentrated in the vicinity of Bishkek and the Chui region. The next largest numbers are found in Osh and other major urbanized areas.
“As a result of an analysis conducted last year, we established that there are no processing enterprises in 40 districts of the country. In this regard, the ministry began cooperation with akims and district agricultural development administrations. We proposed allocating at least 5 million soms from development funds for the establishment of processing industries. This year, we have already opened 35 of the planned 63 enterprises,” Chynaliev said.
He also added that in accordance with the National Development Strategy until 2030, a plan has been developed to create 385 processing enterprises, which will be evenly distributed across all 40 districts.
