Kaiyrbekov noted that the new system will provide accurate information about the number of producers engaged in the production of meat, dairy, and other halal products.
“We plan to create a unified database through the government portal, which will allow us to establish data exchange with various government agencies. This will enable us to see real data on halal product production and ensure complete traceability,” he added.
According to him, the system will track the origin of products, starting from the place of animal slaughter and ending with processing and the composition of the finished product.
“For example, when it comes to sausage, we need to know which slaughterhouse the meat came from, who owned the animal, and from which region it was brought,” Kaiyrbekov clarified.
He also noted that slaughterhouses and processing facilities are actively opening in Kyrgyzstan, which contributes to the development of meat processing and the creation of added value in the country.
“Selling live livestock is less profitable. It is important that processing occurs here, as it creates jobs, generates taxes, and contributes to GDP growth. In animal husbandry, nothing should go to waste: meat, hides, wool, bones, and even manure should be processed, from which gas and fertilizers can be obtained,” emphasized the head of the Center.
Kaiyrbekov added that the comprehensive development of processing in the agricultural sector will significantly increase the contribution of animal husbandry to the country's economy.
