Today, November 5, on the air of the "Ala-Too 24" television channel, the Chief of Staff of the President of Kyrgyzstan, Kanbek Tumanbaev, announced the launch of a new initiative: high school students will be taught traffic rules and driving.

According to Tumanbaev, the reform regarding driver education and obtaining driver's licenses has already begun, and improvements on the roads can be observed over the next few years.

"Starting from September 2026, in every school, 11th-grade students will undergo a course that includes both theoretical classes and practical driving lessons. Training will be available throughout the year," he noted.

He also added that a complete concept of the reform will be presented soon, which will be shared with the entire population of the country.
