In a live broadcast, Kanaybek Tumanbaev, the head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, shared information about indefinite driver's licenses. He emphasized that starting in 2026, holders of such licenses will be able to exchange them for new samples of driver's licenses.
According to him, the exchange process will be completely free, and drivers will not be required to retake exams. Those who have licenses issued for a period of 10 years will be allowed to use them until their expiration date. After that, they can also be exchanged at the State Agency for Registration of Vehicles and Their Owners.
