Today, November 3, the State Enterprise "Kyzmat" presented samples of new civil passports and ID cards that meet international ICAO standards. Their main advantage is the presence of more than 30 modern security features, as well as an electronic chip and laser technologies for applying personal data.

The new passports contain a contactless electronic chip located in the back cover, which stores biometric data such as fingerprints. They have 34 internal pages made of watermarked paper, depicting the regions of Kyrgyzstan and unique security features.

The new type of ID cards features a transparent section that serves as a protection against counterfeiting: under normal lighting, it appears blue, while under ultraviolet light, it turns red.

As of November 3, the new sample passports have already begun to be issued, and the State Enterprise "Kyzmat" intends to launch the process of producing new driver's licenses and improved vehicle license plates, which will have a lifespan of up to ten years.
