The launch of new banknotes production is being prepared
In Kyrgyzstan, the printing of new banknotes in denominations of 20 and 50 soms will begin. This information was announced during the opening of the new building of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic in Bishkek.
The Chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, Melis Turgunbaev, informed President Sadyr Japarov that the launch of these banknotes is scheduled for November 17. He noted that the printing has already been completed, and preparations for the production of new banknotes are currently underway.
In response to the president's question about whether the remaining banknotes, including those with denominations up to 5,000 soms, will be printed starting next year, Turgunbaev confirmed this intention.
