On November 5 of this year, Kanibek Tumanbaev, the head of the president's office of Kyrgyzstan, gave an interview on the "Ala-Too 24" television channel, where he announced that all private driving schools would be transferred to the state.

During the online press conference, a question was raised about the fate of the entrepreneurs who recently invested over two million soms in their driving schools. In response, Tumanbaev said: "Your concerns are absolutely justified. Don't worry, after the transition of driving schools to the state, they will continue their work, and all employees will receive salaries from the state. No one will be left without a job, and online training and digitization will be implemented to eliminate corrupt schemes."

He also urged the owners of private driving schools not to panic.

“The responsibility for the current situation will be placed on those at fault. You are not providing the necessary level of driver training, which leads to a high number of traffic accidents. If training were conducted properly, such problems would not arise. It is essential to train in various conditions: during the day, at night, in winter, and in difficult situations, to be able to save lives,” Tumanbaev added.

He emphasized that the state is not aiming to profit from issuing driver's licenses but is focused on preserving the health of citizens.
