Kasymov noted that in March 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan approved a state classification system, which includes the assignment of star ratings to various accommodation facilities, such as hotels and guest houses.
He also emphasized that this document has not remained just on paper: at the beginning of November, the department organized a series of training seminars for national trainers and tourism industry staff.
“We conducted training for sector workers on service quality standards, which cover requirements for room equipment, food organization, and service provision. Special attention was given to energy-efficient technologies and environmentally friendly working methods,” said the head of the Department.
According to him, the implementation of the classification system is aimed at improving the quality of tourist services and adapting national standards to international requirements.
