In Kyrgyzstan, fish stocks are artificially reproduced
As part of a program aimed at the artificial reproduction of fish stocks, the Department of the Fisheries Industry of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan is conducting work in state water bodies during the period of 2025–2026. This was reported by the Ministry of Water Management and Agriculture.

Currently, activities implemented by the state enterprise "Son-Kul Fishery" have been completed. The work was carried out in accordance with the approved plan, which was coordinated with the Institute of Biology of the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan.

In the incubation workshop of the enterprise, located in the village of Epkin in the Kochkor district, 6.5 million pieces of grayling roe were successfully obtained and placed in specialized Weiss incubation devices.

This initiative aims to develop the country's fishery, increase the population of valuable fish species, and maintain ecological balance in water bodies. Artificial reproduction will not only help restore natural resources but also lead to an increase in fish production volumes in the future.
The Department emphasizes that the program for 2025–2026 is focused on expanding the biological potential of the fishery and the stable development of state fish farming enterprises.
