The strategy was developed by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.
Experts from the ministry note that waste from agriculture and the food industry can be transformed into products for the pharmaceutical industry, cosmetics, household chemicals, as well as feed additives for agriculture.
"In conditions of raw material shortages, recycled household and industrial waste can become an important source for industrial supplies, while also contributing to environmental protection," the draft strategy states.
Gradual increases in tariffs for electricity, water supply, and wastewater disposal services should encourage industrial enterprises to use energy-saving technologies, as well as water resource circulation and effective water purification.
However, at present, such advanced technologies are only applied in the capital, while outdated methods continue to be used in other cities.
Increased production leads to a rise in waste volumes, especially in the agricultural and processing sectors. For example, waste from the light industry and used car tires, as well as lubricating oils, are actively used for heating private homes, which negatively impacts the country's ecology as a whole.
