Aquaculture in Kyrgyzstan is rapidly developing, especially in the field of trout production. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the increase in the number of farms and domestic demand play a key role in the progress of this industry.

Experts note that the price of trout in the market depends on a variety of factors, including regional conditions, logistics, and the weight of the fish. Growing domestic consumption contributes to the establishment of new farms, which in turn leads to increased production volumes and price stabilization.

One successful example in this field is the agricultural cooperative "Spartak Trout," located in Tokmok. The cooperative is engaged in fish farming from the fry stage. When the trout reaches a weight of 200–300 grams, part of it is sold to other farms as stocking material, while fish weighing over 1.5 kilograms is sold on the market as commercial products. The annual production volume of the cooperative is 20 tons, and its products are exclusively aimed at the domestic market.

Currently, domestic consumption of trout in the country ranges from five to ten tons annually.
