According to Nazarov, delays are causing a sharp drop in prices for Kyrgyz fish:

“If in the summer months fish produced in Kyrgyzstan was sold at a price of 650–700 rubles per kilogram, it has now fallen to 500 rubles due to new obstacles.” He also added that the wholesale price of fish in Russia is 1200 rubles, and “in the run-up to the New Year, it is expected to rise to 1500 rubles.”
In their statement, producers noted even more serious consequences: “If the situation continues, production may cease, enterprises will start incurring losses, and some may find themselves on the brink of bankruptcy.” According to industry estimates, delays during the peak season could lead to significant losses.
