Residents of the region report a significant increase in expenses for refueling cars compared to the previous period. Gasoline prices have been rising since the beginning of the year, and there seems to be no end in sight for this trend.

According to official data from Orenstat, over the course of ten months this year, gasoline has increased in price by more than 10% on average. The price rise has been particularly noticeable in recent weeks — the displays at gas stations show rapid changes. In October, the price of a liter of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline increased by 40-60 kopecks, while diesel fuel rose by a whole ruble.

Today, the average cost of fuel in the region is: a liter of AI-92 gasoline – about 60 rubles, AI-95 – nearly 65 rubles, and diesel – over 72 rubles. For comparison: at the beginning of the year, AI-92 gasoline cost about 54.5 rubles, and AI-95 – less than 59 rubles per liter.

Experts point to several factors contributing to the price increase, including fluctuations in the wholesale market, seasonal demand, logistics costs, and rising global prices for petroleum products. Drivers are forced to change their habits: some try to refuel on promotional days, some drive less frequently, and others are considering switching to gas or using public transport.

When the price increase will end remains an open question. At the moment, motorists continue to feel the pressure on their budgets, and each trip to the gas station becomes increasingly costly.
