On October 27, 2025, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic announced an increase in the key interest rate by 75 basis points, bringing it to a new level of 10.00 percent. This change will take effect on October 28.
According to the regulator's data, the inflation rate since the beginning of the current year has reached 6.2 percent, and on an annual basis — 8.4 percent. At the same time, there is a shift in inflationary pressure from food products to non-food items and services.

Inflation is significantly influenced by rising energy resource prices in international markets and increased costs in the services sector against the backdrop of stable consumer demand.

The economy of Kyrgyzstan is demonstrating high growth rates: in the first nine months of 2025, the real gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 10 percent. This growth has been made possible by investments in construction, an increase in household incomes, and an influx of remittances from abroad.
The country's banking system maintains its stability, and the domestic currency market remains stable. Money market rates provide an optimal balance between the attractiveness of savings and the accessibility of loans.
On the international stage, high geopolitical risks, fragmentation of the global economy, and fluctuations in energy resource and food prices continue to exist. These factors put pressure on domestic prices.

Representatives of the National Bank emphasize that the increase in the interest rate is aimed at keeping inflation within the target range of 5–7 percent in the medium term.

The next meeting of the Board of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, where the interest rate level will be discussed, is scheduled for November 24.
It is also worth noting that since July of this year, the interest rate has been 9.25 percent. Source link.
