
The report notes that the price increase was a result of rising wholesale prices for motor fuel and a decrease in its production volumes, caused by the repair of several oil refineries, according to analysts from the Central Bank.
Karelia continues to be an attractive destination for tourists, including those traveling by car. In this regard, gas stations were forced to raise gasoline prices to compensate for increased costs.
According to KareliaStat, from October 21 to 27, the price of gasoline of the AI-98 grade and higher increased by 0.4%, while the price of AI-92 grade gasoline decreased by 0.3%.
The average price of gasoline in the republic was 68.65 rubles per liter, with AI-92 grade gasoline costing 66.05 rubles per liter, AI-95 costing 70.09 rubles per liter, and AI-98 grade gasoline and higher costing 89.41 rubles per liter.
At the beginning of this year, Karelia ranked 30th in the rating of regions by gasoline availability, while at the beginning of 2024, the republic was in 27th position in a similar list.
