These data were provided by the district emergency management office, according to information from Turmush.

The Panfilov district, which borders Kazakhstan, includes 4 rural municipalities and the city of Kainy. About 50,000 people live in this area, representing diverse ethnic groups.

To reduce the risk of fires in the upcoming autumn-winter period, the local emergency department recommends that residents adhere to a number of safety measures:

1. Periodically check the condition of heating systems and electrical wiring, do not leave operating stoves unattended, and do not dry clothes over heating appliances;

2. Before the heating season begins, be sure to clean stoves and chimneys of soot;

3. Do not leave operating stoves unattended and do not entrust their supervision to children;

4. Do not use gasoline or kerosene for lighting fires;

5. Install a fireproof mat measuring at least 50×70 cm in front of the stove door;

6. Do not use homemade heating devices;

7. Avoid connecting multiple high-power electrical appliances to one outlet;

8. Do not use electrical appliances with damaged plugs, sockets, switches, or cord insulation;

9. Do not use faulty or homemade heaters;

10. In case of fire, immediately call 101 or 112.
