Thanks to the warm and dry weather, farmers from the Jayil and Panfilov districts of the Chui region, despite recent frosts and snowfalls, have managed to harvest several batches of strawberries from plantations located in the foothills.
“This year, the strawberry harvesting and ripening season has turned out to be quite long and successful. The berries are in high demand, so the last harvest, which was collected before the onset of frosts, is offered at a price of 250 to 300 soms per kilogram,” shared farmer Gulnura Arykova from the village of Sosnovka.
Compared to last year, when strawberries were sold at a price of 200 to 250 soms per kilogram at this time, current prices are significantly higher, as noted by sellers.
