According to the press service, the budget and financial committee of the St. Petersburg parliament has approved a bill proposed by the governor, which provides for an increase in the coefficient that takes into account the characteristics of the local labor market. This change is an important element of the formula that regulates the amount of the fixed advance payment – the patent, based on the specifics of each region of the Russian Federation.
Since 2018, the cost of the patent in St. Petersburg has been increasing in accordance with the growth of the average salary in the city. The developers of the bill are confident that the new measures will allow the city budget to attract at least 11 billion rubles. The Leningrad region also plans to raise the cost of the patent for foreign workers to 8,000 rubles simultaneously with St. Petersburg.
