On November 22, an agricultural fair took place in Kara-Balta, marking the second such event this season, organized by the local administration and the Jayil district.

Kairat Maatkaziev, head of the district's agricultural development department, reported that fairs will be held every Saturday until spring, aimed at supporting the population and controlling prices on key food products. "The event features locally produced goods, which farmers sell directly to consumers at reduced prices. This is beneficial for both the farmer and the buyer," he added.

Dairy products were in particularly high demand, completely selling out within the first hour of the fair. Local residents could also purchase lamb from the Suusamyr ayil okmotu for 600 soms, pork from Kainy for 420 soms, and beef from Taldy-Bulak for 680 soms per kilogram.

The Jayil ayil okmotu offered four varieties of potatoes, sold at prices ranging from 35 soms wholesale to 40 soms retail.

Local producers also presented pasta at a price of 130 soms for 2 kg, as well as juices and pickled vegetables starting at 40 soms.

Prices at the fair:

- lamb — 600 soms,

- beef — 680 soms,

- pork — 420 soms,

- milk — 50 soms per liter,

- sour cream — 350 soms per kilogram,

- eggs — 8-10 soms per dozen,

- onions — 18 soms wholesale, 23 soms retail,

- potatoes — 35-38 soms wholesale, 40 soms retail,

- carrots — 28 soms,

- cabbage — 20 soms,

- honey — 600 soms per kilogram.
