An Agricultural Fair is Taking Place in Karakol — What Are the Prices?

As of today, November 15, the central square of Karakol, named after Ch. Aitmatov, has become the venue for an agricultural fair. Farmers from various districts of the Issyk-Kul region showcased their own products for sale, as well as meat products.

Current prices for goods at the fair:

Chuchuk — 1300 soms

Kazy, karta — 650 soms

Beef — from 650 soms

Meat of young mare — 680–690 soms

Lamb — 680 soms

Pumpkin — 30 soms

Cabbage — 30 soms

Carrots — 30–45 soms

Tomatoes — 60 soms

Barley — 20 soms

Apples — 50 soms

Potatoes — 30 soms

Juice (apple, apricot) — 250 soms for 3 liters.
Honey:

Sea buckthorn — 500 soms

Meadow — 400 soms

Mountain — 450 soms

May honey with barberry — 450 soms

Honeycomb — 160–200 soms

Honey tincture — 300 soms per bottle.
Ryskul Sagymbaev, head of the mayor's office, reported that this event was organized by the Karakol mayor's office in cooperation with the Jeti-Oguz district. The main goal is to provide farmers with the opportunity to sell their products directly, and for city residents to purchase affordable goods.

“We plan to hold such agricultural fairs every Saturday,” he added.
