In Osh, events are taking place to monitor meat prices.

According to information from local authorities, raids are being conducted in the city aimed at stabilizing prices for meat products. The events involve the first deputy mayor Adilet Sharshenaly uulu and heads of relevant services.

During the raids, prices for meat in retail outlets and markets are checked, as well as the quality of the products and compliance with established norms by sellers.

Kamchybek Tashiev, deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and head of the State Committee for National Security, previously noted that there is a Cabinet resolution regarding the control of prices for meat products, but its provisions are being ignored.

According to him, in some places the price per kilogram of meat reaches 800–900 soms, while in others it is sold for 700–750 soms. The Cabinet resolution sets a limit of 680–700 soms per kilogram.

Tashiev also mentioned that he conducted an analysis of the situation: “It turned out that wholesale suppliers sell meat for 450–500 soms per kilogram, while retailers nearly double the price. We need to monitor these processes. Sellers can add 50 or 100 soms, and then the price will be 600 soms, but in practice it reaches 700–800–900 soms,” he noted.
