A correspondent from 24.kg visited these fairs and prepared a report on prices for basic goods.
The fairs are organized at the following addresses:
- Turdakun Usubaliyev Square (Old Square) — at the corner of Razakova and Abdymomunov streets;
- between microdistrict No. 12 and "Asanbay", at the corner of Nurtamal and Tokombaev streets;
- at the intersection of Torokul Aitmatov and Toktogul streets (the embankment in the "Vostok-5" microdistrict).
The fair in the "Asanbay" microdistrict is considered the most popular, which accounts for the variety of goods presented there.
Prices at the fairs are generally similar. We collected information on average prices for products per kilogram.
- Bone-in beef — 700-730 soms.
- Lamb — 650-670 soms.
- Pork — 350-450 soms.
- Yak meat — 650 soms.
- Beef minced meat — 800 soms.
- Carp — 450 soms.
- Carrots and radishes — 30 soms.
- Sweet peppers — 150 soms.
- Tomatoes — 80-100 soms.
- Onions — 25 soms.
- Potatoes — 40-45 soms.
- Cabbage — 25 soms.
- Apples — 60-80 soms.
- Honey — 600 soms.
It is noteworthy that by evening, prices among sellers decrease. In some cases, vegetables and fruits can be purchased for almost half the price.
