In Kyrgyzstan, at the base of the E. Gareev Botanical Garden, a project has been launched to create a carbon-neutral forest, as reported by the garden's press service.

The project aims to lay the groundwork for the formation of a carbon-neutral forest, as well as to develop skills in carbon neutrality policy.

As part of the project implementation, the infrastructure of the "Korea Peace Garden" has been modernized, a nursery and greenhouses for growing seedlings have been organized, young trees have been planted to create a carbon-neutral forest, and programs for training specialists in this field have been conducted.

The official opening of the project is scheduled for the coming days, and a delegation from Korea is expected to participate, according to the announcement.

A carbon-neutral forest is an ecosystem that provides a balance between carbon emissions and its absorption. Such forests act as natural carbon dioxide sinks, and the process of tree growth allows for achieving equilibrium between the amount of carbon emitted and absorbed.
