The Center for Kyrgyz Language and Manas Studies Opened at KRSU

The Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University has opened a new center dedicated to the Kyrgyz language and Manas studies. This information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy.

Additionally, as part of the center's opening, a photo exhibition was organized at the university, showcasing archival materials dedicated to the outstanding Manaschi of the 20th century, Sayakbay Karalaev, and the Day of the Epic "Manas".

According to ministry representatives, the epic "Manas" is the highest achievement of the spiritual culture of the Kyrgyz people. The version performed by Sayakbay Karalaev has been included in UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity and is considered outstanding. The creation of the new center is aimed at the in-depth study of the epic, supporting the Kyrgyz language, developing scientific research, and promoting the cultural heritage of the country.

It is also emphasized that this center will become a unique platform for integrating scientific, educational, and enlightenment activities, as well as fostering international cooperation in the field of Manas studies.
