In Kyrgyzstan, Science Day is Celebrated

On November 10, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev, congratulated citizens on Science Day. This information was disseminated by the information support department of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Kasymaliev noted that there are 82 scientific and scientific-technical organizations operating in the country, employing more than 6,500 scientists, including doctors and candidates of sciences.

He emphasized the achievements of Kyrgyz scientists, including the development of mechanisms for drilling lunar soil, which demonstrates their contribution to space research. "We are proud of the high level of professionalism of our medical professionals and researchers," he added.

The head of government also reported that with the improvement of the economic situation in the country, science is receiving increasing funding, which is reflected in the rise of salaries for employees of scientific institutions, the enhancement of the material and technical base, and the increase in the number of applied research projects.

Scientific research covers key areas such as energy until 2035, the development of the state language, sustainable development of mountainous regions, as well as issues related to medicinal plants, forest restoration, processing of technogenic waste, and climate adaptation.

Kasymaliev also outlined priority areas of science, including the history of Kyrgyzstan, agriculture, green economy, healthcare, energy, digitalization, and post-industrial development.

In conclusion of his speech, he emphasized the importance of economic research on import substitution and export, as well as support for startups in applied science, which will strengthen the interaction between science and business.
