During his speech, the head of the government emphasized that the country's police have gone through many trials; however, recently there has been a significant improvement in the material and technical base of law enforcement agencies.
As noted by Adylbek Kasymaliev, modern conditions are being created for police officers: they are provided with housing, new administrative buildings are being constructed, and a large amount of specialized equipment and machinery is being allocated.
“The humanization of legislation in the field of law enforcement has led to a noticeable decrease in the number of people sentenced to imprisonment. For example, in 2003 there were 16,444 such individuals, while in 2024 there are only 7,051. This dynamic speaks for itself. Our main goal is not only to apprehend criminals but also to reduce the number of offenses. In this context, the internal affairs officers play a key role, as they should contribute to the upbringing of the youth of Kyrgyzstan in the spirit of honesty and high morality,” he added.
The Day of the Kyrgyz Militia is celebrated on November 1. Events such as the establishment of the administrative department of the Revolutionary Committee of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region on November 1, 1924, laid the foundation for the formation of the regional police department.
