- The republic has 34 cities, among which Bishkek and Osh have the status of cities of republican subordination.
Cities of regional significance: Batken, Kyzyl-Kiya, Sulyukta, Manas, Tash-Kumyr, Kara-Kul, Mayluu-Suu, Karakol, Balykchy, Naryn, Tokmok, Kara-Balta, Kant, and Talas.

The heads of city departments and divisions of internal affairs are mostly aged between 37 and 54 years, and there are no women among them.
