The head of the cabinet congratulated Kyrgyz citizens on Science Day

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the head of the presidential administration, Adylbek Kasymaliev, addressed his congratulations to the citizens of the country on the occasion of Science Day.
“Dear colleagues, esteemed scientists, students, graduate students, and doctoral candidates, everyone who contributes to the development of science!
On behalf of the government and from myself personally, I congratulate you on this significant holiday!”
The scientific potential of Kyrgyzstan is impressive: there are 82 scientific and scientific-technical organizations operating in the country, employing more than 6,500 scientists, including doctors and candidates of sciences.

Since the establishment of scientific institutions and higher educational establishments, our scientists have achieved significant success. Their research has enriched our cultural and literary heritage, inspiring new discoveries. We also take pride in the high level of professionalism of our medical specialists, whose operations meet international standards, as well as the achievements of Kyrgyz scientists in space research, including the development of mechanisms for drilling lunar soil.

Despite difficult times when research took a back seat, the economy of the country has recently shown significant growth: the budget is filling, new enterprises and social facilities are being built, and conditions are being created for increasing the salaries of budget sector workers. With the improvement of the economic situation, science has also begun to receive the necessary support, including salary increases for employees of scientific and scientific-technical institutions and improvements in the material and technical base.

Today, research covers many relevant areas, such as energy development until 2035, the study of the state language, sustainable development of mountainous regions, cultivation and processing of medicinal plants, forest restoration, basalt fiber production, and adaptation to climate change.

Within the framework of government orders, work is being carried out on seismic zoning, the study of archaeological monuments, the study of the genetics of agricultural animals, the processing of waste from the mining industry, the restoration of fish resources in Lake Issyk-Kul, and the optimization of production capacities.

Scientific priorities include the history of Kyrgyzstan, the Kyrgyz language, agriculture and biosecurity, green economy, healthcare, climate change, energy, post-industrial development, and digital transformation. While we were previously an industrial-agrarian country, we are currently experiencing a revival of industry, and digitization is rapidly developing, making us an example for our neighbors. I am confident that you, esteemed scientists, will make a significant contribution to these areas.

Particular attention should be paid to economic research related to import substitution, export stimulation, and the organization of economic intelligence.

With the increasing number of startups in applied science that can be beneficial for business, a constructive dialogue between science and entrepreneurship can emerge, fostering successful and profitable activities.

I wish everyone good health, success, inspiration, and new scientific achievements for the benefit of our Motherland – Kyrgyzstan! May the legacy of Kyrgyz science become a reliable foundation for future generations!”
