The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and head of the presidential administration, Adylbek Kasymaliev, expressed his congratulations to both current and former police officers on their professional holiday — the Day of the Kyrgyz Police.

In his greeting, he noted:

“Dear police officers and veterans!
I sincerely congratulate you on your professional holiday – the Day of the Kyrgyz Police.

You are selfless individuals who take on the responsibility for the safety of citizens and the protection of society from criminal actions, and you deserve deep respect. You are the force that stands against crime and those who attempt to challenge legality and public order.

The Kyrgyz police have gone through many trials. In the difficult moments of recent history, when criminal elements tried to cast doubt on the legitimacy of state power, the police have always remained a support and hope for the people.

The last few years have been marked by significant changes in society. The economy is rapidly growing, revenues to the state treasury are increasing, and the salaries of employees, including police officers, are rising. Thanks to the coordinated work of the police, judicial authorities, and the prosecutor's office, our society has become much cleaner, especially in the fight against organized crime and corruption.

It is important that the material and technical support of law enforcement agencies has significantly improved. Police officers are receiving housing, as well as new administrative buildings.

The state allocates funds for special equipment and technology for the effective apprehension of offenders, including modern technologies and artificial intelligence. This has allowed for the capture of criminals wanted by Interpol for many years.

Institutional changes have also occurred. As a result of the humanization of law enforcement legislation, the number of people sentenced to imprisonment has significantly decreased. For example, in 2003 there were 16,444, while in 2024 there are only 7,051. This dynamic speaks for itself.

Our main goal is not punishment, but reducing the level of crime. In this direction, we must work on educating the youth in the spirit of honesty and high moral values, and police officers play an important role in this. Preventive work will help reduce threats to the lives and health of citizens, and the efforts spent on education should be considered more valuable than human lives.

In the context of transnational organized crime and new types of crime, including cybercrime, I am confident that our police will be able to develop their professional and intellectual potential and achieve the expected results.

Dear employees and veterans of law enforcement agencies!

Happy holiday! I wish that your difficult and honorable service is always successful.

May you be accompanied by good health, long years of life, unquenchable energy, and well-being for your families.”
