Police officers in Issyk-Kul prevented a forest fire

The fire occurred in the vicinity of the village of Zhylyu-Bulak

Inspectors from the tourist-ecological police of the Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Kul region successfully extinguished a forest fire that threatened natural resources in the area of the village of Zhylyu-Bulak, located in the Tyup district. This was reported by the press service of the department.

It became known that during a patrol in the forest zone, the officers noticed smoke rising from the woods.

“At first, it seemed that the fire was small, but due to the gusty wind, its intensity quickly increased, and it began to pose a danger to the surrounding nature. Realizing that delay could lead to the loss of a significant area of forest, the officers immediately began extinguishing it. They used improvised tools—shovels from the service vehicle, as well as water and soil from the nearest source. Thanks to their efforts, they managed to stop the spread of the fire and save about 30 acres of forest. By the time the firefighters arrived, the active burning had already been completely extinguished,” the Internal Affairs Department reported.

The tourist-ecological police of the Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Kul region urges citizens to be extremely cautious while in forest and mountainous areas: do not leave campfires unattended, do not throw away cigarette butts and smoldering coals, and do not leave trash behind.
