According to information provided by the press service of the Internal Affairs Directorate, the crews of the tourist-ecological police noticed smoke coming from a forest area during their patrol. Although the fire was small, strong winds quickly spread the flames, threatening a significant area of forest.

Realizing the seriousness of the situation, the police officers immediately began fighting the fire. Using shovels, soil, and water from the nearest source, they managed to prevent the further spread of the flames, saving about 30 acres of forest.

The fire crews arrived at the scene after the active burning had been stopped. "Every second was important. We understood that without immediate action, the fire could spread deeper into the forest and lead to enormous losses," commented platoon commander Adyl Ishenbaev.

The Internal Affairs Directorate of the Issyk-Kul region noted that the attentiveness and decisiveness of the police officers played a key role in preventing a serious ecological disaster.

The tourist-ecological police remind citizens of the importance of following fire safety rules in forests and mountainous areas, such as not leaving campfires unattended, not discarding cigarette butts, and not leaving trash behind. Preserving nature means preserving life.
