Employees of the tourist-ecological police made a heroic act by stopping a forest fire in the area of the village of Zhylyu-Bulak, located in the Tyup district of the Issyk-Kul region.

The press service of the regional police department reported that during a patrol, the inspectors noticed smoke coming from the forest.

Acting bravely, the police officers used shovels that were in their service vehicle, as well as water and soil from the nearest source, to localize the fire.

Thanks to their quick response, about 30 acres of forest were saved. When the firefighters arrived, the active burning had already been completely stopped.

“We understood that every minute counted. If we hadn’t acted immediately, the fire could have spread deeper into the forest, leading to significant losses,” commented platoon commander Adyl Ishenbaev.
